Honest Beauty Review

Editorial policy

Honest Beauty Review aims to make beauty product language easier to assess. We explain what can be responsibly said, identify uncertainty and correct the record when an error is found.

Accuracy and care

We check wording, distinguish a product's stated claims from independently established information, and avoid presenting marketing language as evidence. We do not imply that a general article can determine what is suitable for an individual. When a claim cannot be established from the information available for an article, we say so or leave it out.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made for reader value, not to guarantee favourable coverage. A commercial relationship does not buy a positive conclusion or control over an editorial verdict. We do not claim first-hand testing unless an article clearly explains that testing took place.

Corrections

If you notice a factual error or misleading phrase, contact us through the Contact page and identify the article and passage. We review correction requests and update material when warranted, making the change clear where the error materially affected the article.

Partners and illustrations

Paid or otherwise commercially supported material is clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Partner placements are identified as such. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; when used, they are presented as illustrations rather than documentary product evidence.
